Uhuru warns complacent government officials
President Uhuru Kenyatta has issued a stern warning to officials within his government who are complacent in their work.
Speaking during the Annual National Security Review and Planning Conference in Mombasa, Uhuru said those found to be complacent will be dealt with.
Uhuru was specifically addressing security officers in the country.
“There can be no room for silo mentality in our quest to make Kenya safer. We have more than enough officers and equipment, if we coordinate and cooperate,” Uhuru said.
Uhuru further warned security officers sleeping on their job that they will be sent packing.
The president further thanked security officials who have endeavoured to fight violent extremism including terror attacks in the country.
