Uhuru meets Vladimir Putin ahead of Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi
President Uhuru Kenyatta received a warm welcome from Russian President Vladimir Putin upon touching down in Moscow ahead of the Russia-Africa summit to be held in Sochi.
Uhuru is among several African leaders who are attending the summit as Russia seeks to catch up with the West and China in trade ties and relations with Africa.
State House Kenya announced that the president is attending the summit thanks to the bilateral ties between Kenya & Russia that have strengthened over the years.
During the summit, the Kenyan delegation will be “pursuing trade and investment partnerships with focus on the #Big4Agenda priority areas of health, affordable housing, food security and manufacturing,” the statement read further.
