Three more patients recover from Coronavirus in Kenya
Three more patients in Kenya have fully recovered from the killer Coronavirus disease, and discharged from hospital.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe announced the development Tuesday, bringing the total number of those who have recovered from the virus to seven patients.
“I am pleased to report that in the last 24 hours 3 patients have been released from our facilities having turned negative. In the last 24 hours we tested 696 people and 14 tested positive. 12 are Kenyans and 2 are foreigners,” Kagwe said.
He further said the number of confirmed cases in the country has now reached 172 after 14 new cases were confirmed.
The cases are spread in the counties of Nairobi (7), Mombasa (2), Mandera (2), Kisii (1), Kiambu (1) and Machakos (1).
The announcement comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta partially locked Nairobi on Monday, prevent movement in and out of the metropolis.
Nairobi, Kenya’s capital, has been the epicentre of the virus in the country, having recorded the highest number of patients.
