1. 9-storey building collapses in Ruiru

A nine-storey building collapsed on Sunday, October 17 in Ruiru, Kiambu County. Ruiru DCIO Justus Ombati confirmed the building collapsed while under construction. At the time of incident, there was no one was inside the house, hence, no injuries or casualties reported. The building was under construction collapses in OJ area, Ruiru Sub County – Kenyans

2. Uhuru Kenyatta launches Molecular Imaging Centre for cancer treatment

President Uhuru Kenyatta presided over the opening of the Integrated Molecular Imaging and Hospitality Centre (IMIC) for Cancer treatment at the Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research centre (KUTTRH). The ultra-modern IMIC is the first of its kind in Kenya and the region, and was developed as part of government effort to expand access to cancer treatment in the country.
