Rowdy youth disrupt meeting by Ruto allies in Mombasa
A section of rowdy youth disrupted a meeting held by allies of Deputy President William Ruto in Mombasa a day to the Tononoka BBI rally.
The youth stormed a presser by the leaders and disrupted it, chasing away journalists who were covering the event.
The leaders were issuing their stand on the planned Saturday rally.
Among them were Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and her Nyali counterpart Mohammed Ali.
The rowdy youth chased away the leaders as they claimed they are allied to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is set to lead other like-minded leaders in drumming up support for the BBI report.
So fa, two such rallies have been held in Kisii and Kakamega counties.
Ruto’s camp has been opposed to the meeting, but they recently indicated they will attend those organised by Raila.
