Governor Sonko ejected from Moi burial ceremony
Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was ejected from the dais at the venue of the burial ceremony for late former President Daniel Moi.
Sonko had arrived at the ceremony dressed in a black suit and gold-coated glasses but was barred from accessing the main dais where dignitaries and other state officials were sitting.
The governor was left to stand on the sidelines for several minutes before a man with a blue tag approached him and seemed to explain to him why he was not allowed in the dais.

It is not clear why Sonko was not allowed to sit with other leaders as he had done at the Nyayo National Stadium on Tuesday.
Sonko’s Nairobi county government had bought a page in one of the dailies to celebrate and pay tribute to Moi.
The governor has lately been embattled, facing graft charges and barred by the court from accessing his office.
Sonko is out on cash bail and has denied any wrong doing.
