EIGHT more Coronavirus cases confirmed in Kenya, total hits 216
Kenya confirmed eight more Coronavirus cases on Tuesday, taking its tally of total confirmed cases to 216.
Health Chief Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangangi announced that the cases were from 694 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours.
“In the last 24 hours, we have tested 694 samples. Out of these samples, eight have tested positive for #COVID19; bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 216,” Mwangangi said.
Among the eight, five are Kenyans and the rest foreign nationals.
Six of the eight patients had recent travel history to the United Kingdom, Comoros, Dubai, Pakistan and Zambia.
The cases are spread across the three counties of Nairobi(6), Siaya (1) and Nakuru (1).
The CAS also reported one recovery from the 216 coronavirus cases in Kenya, bringing the total number of those who have recovered to 41.
